The Portmeirion BOTANIC GARDEN BOOK This is the final version of this vital guide to The Botanic Garden (with corrections to text and pictures) Produced by Portmeirion which is based in Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire, England, to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of their Botanic Garden pattern. It contains a fascinating history of Portmeirion itself
and the family expansion of their beautiful pottery and accessories. Included
are many photographs of the various flower patterns, both current and
discontinued, in the Botanic Garden series. The front cover shows Euan
Cooper-Willis and Susan Williams-Ellis (husband and wife; Founders
and Chairmen of Portmeirion Potteries) at the Portmeirion Village
Hotel in North Wales, in July 1996. Under the photograph is the title, "The
World of Botanic Garden 1972-1997". The book measures 6 1/4
inches by 4 3/8 inches (16cm x 11cm approx.). It has 44 pages
full of information and colour photographs and it is now out of print. A
must for any Botanic Garden enthusiast! This book was only ever available
from Portmeirion stockists as a bonus to celebrate the Silver Jubilee
of Botanic Garden in 1997.
